A Career in Software Localization
No
matter what your existing job description and role are, you must have a global,
world-ready prospective to stay competitive.
We strongly recommend the Courseware

While Corporate America is going global at a faster
rate than ever, not many professionals are prepared for a multi-cultural
business environment. If
you are thinking of starting a career in SW Localization, there are many aspects
to consider. From an engineering prospective,
you need to know how to architect a product so that it supports all of the
language requirements and country conventions of all the int'l markets the
product will be sold to. From a marketing prospective, you need to know
how to create demand for a product outside the domestic market, select the
appropriate distribution channel and int'l partners, as well as develop
int'l websites with local content. Enjoy the article "Internationalization
& Localization Tasks" and get the scoop on the
challenging profession of a "Localizer".
