Tiziana's Dance Biography
 |
Tiziana Perinotti started ballroom dancing
with her father in Torino, her home
town in Italy, where she also trained as a gymnast for several years. She received Jazz
dance training at Zohar School of Dance in Palo Alto, California, USA, and has been dancing Argentine Tango, Salsa Fusion, Swing and other
dances since 2003 with
Palo Altan dance instructor, choreographer, musician, and movie maker George Nicol.
Currently she's training with
Ney Melo, one of the most
talented today's young Argentine Tango dancers and teachers, dancing an
elegant style of social tango and following the traditions of the
neighborhood of Villa Urquiza in Buenos Aires (home of the Sin Rumbo &
Sunderland milongas). She's also taken lessons and attended several
workshops with world-class Pulpo
Esbrez,
the king of ganchos, & Luiza Paes, Jorge Torres,
dance captain of "Forever Tango", and one of the best Argentine Tango dancers
and choreographers,
Raul Cabral,
Negracha & Diego Lanau,
superb performers and ambassador of the Traditional "Milonguero"
Style Tango from Buenos Aires,
Hugo "Gato" Valdez & Andrea Monti,
known throughout the World for their refined classic "Tango Salon" dance

Tiziana regularly appears in performances in the Bay Area, San Francisco, California, and has danced in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and many cities in Italy. She has assisted George conduct dance classes in Italy and in the Bay Area, California. She is also a musician and singer and has been playing flute and singing with various classical and jazz music groups in Europe and the USA. Tiziana does dance and music performances with her musical group, the Nova Ensemble, for private and corporate parties, and public events. Tiziana is also a personal trainer, offering effective healthy lifestyles programs to busy professionals, executives, and anyone with a hectic, and stressful life. See her training programs and bio. Tiziana studied classical and jazz music in Italy,
under the guidance of her father, a very talented musician, since an early
age. There were always musicians and singers in the house. As a child, her
parents would play operas and jazz to keep her quiet. Her grand-father
was a famous trumpet player, who performed with popular bands on Italian TV and
brought jazz to the Italian audiences in the fifties.
Tiziana first learnt how to play piano, then the flute, and has played with several musical groups, including the Symphonic Orchestra of Ivrea (Torino, Italy) and several jazz bands. Her performances have taken place at several International musical events in Italy and abroad. She has done a US tour and performed with the Cigliano band in Chicago. She has been a member of the Choir of Cigliano, Italy, and recently has performed with the Foothill College Gospel Choir of Los Altos, California. Currently she plays flute and sings with her music group, the Palo Alto Nova Ensemble, that has a repertoire of Bossa Nova, Latin Jazz, Swing, and party music.
